Hey,
Can you believe it’s already December?
I’m sure your inbox is breathing a sigh of relief now that the ever extending Black Friday / Cyber Monday sales are over... until Boxing Day rolls around 😅
Don’t worry I’m not here to sell you anything. I’m actually here to do the opposite.
I was wondering if you could help me give a warm welcome to the newest Growclass mentor Emily Key.
Emily is a Founder and Partner at Northumberland Group–– a collective of experienced advisors who support underrepresented founders of global technology companies scale faster and change smarter by way of pro bono consulting or angel investments.

What's your favourite growth, marketing, or business book?
"Can I pick 3?”
What are your motivators?
"Helping folks grow and develop personally and professionally, and making sure those folks have what they need to fulfill their potential."
What do you love to learn about?
"Figuring out how things work is one of my favourite pastimes. I love getting into the nitty gritty of any system or process and understanding how subtle changes may influence it."

Here are 3 things you can leverage to help you write more persuasive sales copy this holiday season:
1. Smart scarcity - the less there is of something, the more people tend to want it. It makes them feel special to have something that is limited. Low stock, last chances, time is running out. These are all scarcity tactics that get folks to act fast so they don’t miss out.
2. Liking - we like people who are similar to us. Your copy needs to sound the way your customer thinks. Study how your customers communicate and try to match their tone in a casual and friendly way.
3. Consensus - people are always looking for social validation for what they’re going to do. Most folks don’t want to be the odd one out. You can leverage case studies, testimonials, and data to make them feel validated in their decision to take a desired action.
