Hey,
Sarah here, happy Sunday friends!
Lately I've been doing something kinda fun on TikTok (not me out here acting like I'm Gen Z). Basically, I've been taking brands I love who could use a little smootch of copywriting help and give them a little impromptu makeover.
It's called: Fixed it for you
First up is Le Tote, a subscription clothing rental company. Let's use them for a quick lesson while giving them a little LA copy facelift, shall we?
This is the top section of their homepage:
Okay what don't we love about this copy:
So let's fix it for them.
Why it works:
Remember, you want to write about the benefits for your customers, not just the features. For example:
Feature: Get new clothes every month for a low price
Benefit: Never repeat an outfit, and still save your money for fresh manis
Every time you write a page, and ad, or an emailâ think about how you'd convince your best friend that the product is great. Your copy is a personal conversation with the  one person reading your site at that momentâ so talk directly to how you'll solve their problem. Oh, and making them smile doesn't hurt either.
Waving,
Sarah

Great copywriting examples seen on the streets
That first question has definitely got me hooked. It makes me want to keep reading and I don't even have a cat đ A butt shave in the comfort of home? Thatâs one lucky feline!
I think most people would agree that Smoothies as a Service is way cooler than Software as a Service. The best thing about this copy is that even if you arenât familiar with the OG meaning of the SaaS acronym, youâll still be able to get a kick out of it. And maybe a drink while you're at it đ
Who doesnât love free stuff? Ohhh⌠wait a minute. Now this is a different kind of sass đ  This ad is hilarious for a few reasons. Itâs free. The instructions are clear. Thereâs a diagram for visual aid. I saw this while visiting Vancouver and I'm happy to report that the streets were all clear. 10/10 effectiveness from this copy!

What we learned from copy on the streets:
⢠Humour goes a long way in making your copy memorable, sharable, and keeping your readers attention the whole way through.
⢠Be careful not to sacrifice clarity for humour or youâll lose people and cancel out the effectiveness of this strategy. You still need the reader to remember your brand, and take the next desirable action (picking up poop, getting a cat's butt shaved, etc.)
⢠If you can make 'em smile, they're going to remember your copy.
